At Tango Sur. from Red and White. — 10 years ago
Lithe yet voluptuous, powerful yet nimble on the palate, like dancing the tango: proper yet sexy, brambly yet so smooth Cordoban leather takes a backseat to Po de Poeira. Still frisky for a 2008! Wish I could get more but I was lucky to find this one slightly dusty bottle. Que saudade! — 10 years ago

Greg Hobbs featured opening wine for us at The Artisans of Barossa. This is his Tango for the two grapes in the blend...Shiraz and Viognier. The two make for an excellent wine that just kept dancing better and better as they opened up. Greg was a Police Officer for 10 years before buying property in Barossa. Quite a transition! Greg's property right next to Chris Ringland's. — 8 years ago

Figured I would start strong. This is my first taste of Peter Michael's Pinot, but he seemed pretty fired up about it. His other wines are unbelievable. Cracking this open in a couple of hours, so I'll update this after. Update: cherry cola, leather, the fruit is clearly exceptional, and the winemaking just accents it flawlessly. Long, lingering finish. This is unbelievable wine. I've never had a better Pinot. Paired this wine with a dry-aged prime ribeye with a balsamic cherry reduction. Dead ringer. The two did the tango right across the palate. — 10 years ago
