Tasted side by side with the 2013 vintage. Deep purplish red. A bit floral on the nose with some cedar, blackberries and quite a bit of spices. Sweet and heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Nice complexity on the palate with blackcurrants, blackberries, sweet spices, woody, a bit gamey and dark crushed gravel. A bit of red berries with some time. Long and lingering finish. This speaks loudly clearly and with flair / it says big bold beautiful / it says structure / complexity / integrated tannins / it says lasting finish - fruit is all blue with black like my Carolina panthers

It says no nose with stuffiness is going to get in my way of blessed smells - taste gives me a swirl of brilliant notes of happiness

More jammy up front at PnP than 07. Settled in nicely though. Nose of blackberries. Tastes of blackberry, black raspberry, dark cherry. Some cocoa and graphite notes and spicy black pepper at the finish. Great tannins still there at the end. — 5 years ago

Definitely drink now. Lots of sediment in the bottle.

Not as spectacular as I was hoping for but still a solid showing. Might be due to mediocre storage since purchase.

On the nose: artificial pine, leather, and roasted (grilled? I've never had them...) Cherries. Very dark on the palate though velvety tongue. A needy mouthfeel. Ever so eager to drain you and leave you wanting. — 7 years ago
