Fun afternoon at Classic with great company. Glad you could join us Bryan.
This was my contribution and I loved being able to try this alongside the ‘11 that Bryan brought. So different! The ‘11 had almost 25% more Grenache than this, and was definitely lighter, spicer and had more acidity. This was dark and brooding and had more tannin on the finish. Fresh squeezed ripe blueberries and blackberries with peppercorn strip and charred plum. Obviously young, I re-corked and will update tomorrow...
Day 2: More floral up front on the nose and more savory on the palate with graphite and herbs de Provence. Decidedly more red fruit dominant at the finish...rhubarb and black cherry. More complexity for sure. Enjoyable now if given a 2hr decant, or hold for 2-3 more years. — 6 years ago
Had this wine with Susan Spicer, Chip, and my Mario at a place called Mamou, in New Orleans! — 2 years ago
This is actually the 2020 Jurassic Park Chenin blanc - served with Thai dinner and salmon dinner. Low to no acid, smooth yet crisp and complex. Yellow apples, peach, and gravel. Really enjoyed it with the food pairing would love to try with spicer dishes. — 3 years ago

A bit sweeter than I expected with great acidity. Was incredible with spicer food! The wine complimented the meal and held its own. I personally wouldn't drink this wine without food to accompany. — 9 years ago
They are always great. At first called Syrah. Seemed darker and spicer. But it’s Grenache. Fantastic. — 2 years ago
Surprisingly spicer than expected but a good Pinot. Not super thin or smooth but quite good.
Would buy again. — 4 years ago
Really like this wine. Dark cherry, blackberry, spicer. Long finish. — 8 years ago
I normally find Pinot Noirs to be the Sean Spicer of wines. I'm supposed to enjoy them, but can't quite bring myself to. Well, this is the Steve Bannon of wines. Wait, wait. Don't leave. It's bolder than one would expect, stays in the shadows but has a delightful wallop when swirled. If this wine published a bunch of fake news, it'd be him. Confused? I know I am. — 8 years ago

No formal notes . Slightly lighter than the others , but still ruby , touch of garnet at the rim. Spicer and rounder red and dark fruits . Finer and more mineral more elegant on the palate . Quite elegant . Refined and elegant , mineral , good balance and acidity . This came across as lighter than the others , though with no lack of definition . Mineral , grafite tinged finish . Showing well this is probably going to have a slightly shorter life than the others , but is great for medium term drinking , over next 5-10 years perhaps . — 6 months ago
