We had the 2005 at the Cabernet tasting. No. 6. 15% alcohol. Great full bodied fruit flavours and intensity. Not particularly typical Cab profile. Will live for ages. Plenty of fruit tannin and acid. — 10 years ago

2014 rum barrel aged variant. 18.9% alc!!! This is big, sweet and boozy. Dessert beer for sure. It has complexity, but not on the level of the bourbon barrel aged original. Still has more balance than just about any beer in this alcohol range and it's a pleasure to drink. Will be better with some age. — 10 years ago

No 7 tasted Coonawarra Cab at the Tasting. The best of the inexpensive Cabernets IMO. Very balanced. Could be drunk now with great satisfaction or cellared for 5+ years. All the Cabernet descriptors apply. Loved it. — 10 years ago

I had the 2010 vintage... It was delicious. It needs some air (give or take 30 min) to get rid of a slight musty smell but even immediately after pouring it tastes amazingly balanced! Very round cab sav with tastes of blackberries and cassis and even some cheeky but very welcomed hint of soil. Perfect combination for my lamb. Will definitely try it again! — 10 years ago

Bright fruit scent accompanied with much more subtle fruit palette as I guess is to be expect for PN. Nice sharper fruits which suit it well for a great crisp taste and not overly lingering. Perfect for summer. The grapefruit isn't overpowering but the acidity of the fruit and the bitterness of the rind is very noticeable. Balanced, sharp and hoppy. One of the best IPA's I've ever had. — 10 years ago
