Heavy on the Grenache and Mourvèdre in 2014. With a backbone of deep fruit Syrah and inky cinsaut to round it out — 7 years ago

Liking this a lot on a rainy night in the cellar with Deano crooning classic Italian songs on the Victrola......ahh. Beautiful at the open, silky, few tanins remain, so good timing to be enjoying. Definitely dark fruit, but Linda gets a spice on the finish which I don't. — 8 years ago
Otherworldly beauty from Jessica Pratt and Pascal Janvier. This album has a haunting quality to it, but it haunts in an addictive way. The songs feel familiar, but they keep a uniqueness that sounds fresh every time I play it. If you don’t own this record, buy it. Janvier’s Silex is everything to love about Chenin. It’s crisp & approachable, yet has countless layers of aromatics & simultaneously shows a basket of fruit and an ethereal transparent weight. This is just amazing tonight. — 6 years ago
2014 Bitouzet-Prieur Bourgogne and Now again ‘s excellent reissue of David Axelrod’s Songs of Experience. The wine is much like the record. Lots of highs & lows. Moments of beauty and elegance underscored by attention to detail & nuanced arrangements. This album showing up in the mail today equals a great Monday. — 7 years ago
The 2012 was outstanding. Beautiful nose and long smooth finish. Would highly recommend. — 7 years ago
I’d like to know what Edgar Alan Poe has to say about this bold and impressive wine. Smoky and peppery with a nice, dry finish. We are enjoying this while nibbling on dry cheese and putting together Thanksgiving dinner. — 7 years ago
Not the most aromatic of wines. Songs of leather, aged balsamic, dried cherries and cranberry, dried fennel and a general earthiness. Tannins are soft and powdery, with a fresh cherry like acidity. Length could be better. Not bad. — 8 years ago
What a great memories!. Today, the taste is accompanied by nice songs from vinyl records ( ACDC and Pink Floyd included). — 6 years ago
Supple wine, hint of melon with a vanilla nose. Nice finish. Highly recommend. Only 29 cases produced in 2009. — 7 years ago
Excellent aromas of lemon peel, lemon curd, crisp apple and crushed stones. The palate has a hint of contradiction with ripe apple and lemon confit notes balanced by steely mineral tones. Seems poised enough for further development. Superb while enjoy the stories and songs of Joe Ely and Alejandro Escavado. — 8 years ago

2017 La Staffa Verdicchio with pesto pasta & veggies. Pretty much perfection in dinner right there. This was a little shy on the nose, but is opening up beautifully. This is a nuanced, beautiful wine that I’m fighting a battle not to to drink too quickly as I want to savor & enjoy it. The record finds Damien Jurado delivering some of his finest work. He tells great stories in his songs, but the arrangements are irresistible that accompany his brilliant words. Hope everyone’s Saturday is ending as nicely as ours. — 6 years ago
