Beautiful champagne...especially for the money. Cream soda, minerals and yellow florals on the nose. The palate is; lightly bruised green apple & Bosc pear, citrus, pineapple, cream soda, butterscotch, quince, baguette, fine bubbles, delicate fine chalkiness & mineralogy, enjoyable acidity & long, rich finish. This bottle of 06 SC is different than my last. It starts with brioche, almond croissant w/powdered sugar, golden & green apple, apple cider, apple sauce, bruised pear, toffee, overripe pineapple, citrus, citrus blossoms, honey, nuts with skin and cream soda/ginger & butterscotch candy on the long open/finish. The acidity is just right. There is length, balance and a long polished finish. Mmmmmm!!!! At $60, this surpasses Krug cuvée and competes with other vintage Krug's I've had. — 10 years ago
