Smoking with short ribs — 8 years ago
Opened this on Monday night. Beautiful dark inky color. Wonderful nose. Very tightly wound. I would have expected a softer palette based in the age. Tuesday night it started coming around. Wednesday night it had blossomed and was smoking good. Silky smooth, long layered finish. — 9 years ago
Smoking good call from our friends at grand cru...with poached shrimp cocktail at home, on point — 9 years ago
Floral and cherry with a smooth, dry mouth feel. It's full bodied but not as heavy as a Cab. This wine could stand up to beef or barbecue. — 9 years ago
Really smooth, blooms in your mouth. Had with duck confit rolls, shrimp tempura, fish tacos and swordfish. Went well with everything. Fonished with banana chocolate bread pudding. Mmmm good! — 6 years ago
Bought this at Harris Teeters n corked it at Ruth Chris. So glad I did because it's delicious. — 8 years ago

Sultry: like a beautiful lady in a red dress smoking a cigarette in the dark corner of a speakeasy. — 9 years ago
It’s big on the nose. Not very exciting though. Raspberry. Cherry. — 7 years ago

Someone said natural. Think this is organic farming but I don’t think this is natural wine. Pierre Gauthier, almost 40 acres of Clay/Limestone Tufa in Benais outside of Bourgeuil. Probably just over $25-$30retail, $45-$60 on a wine list. Smoking good. The composite rating here is insanely low for the QPR. Everyone should be drinking these wines. This is a great wine in the grand scheme of things, it’s all about perspective. Entry level wine, the Jour de Soif has no oak, bright fruit, amazing green edge. There is a wet tobacco thing. Classic wine! Love it. — 6 years ago
