Love Beaucastel and its sister US winery, Tablas Creek. Lovely wine. Great Red Rhone. — 8 years ago
The sister property of Haut-Brion and a wine many consider an unofficial 1st Growth, La Mission was firing on all cylinders this night. The 2000 nose was classic, showing the signature Graves scorched Earth, ripe currants, creme de cassis, and roasted coffee beans. The palate built around a core of earth and rock, with a structured and textural powerhouse that relents in the glass as you taste it further, unwrapping the aroma and flavor kaleidoscope slowly and keeping you coming back for more.
The 2005 was more of the same but on another level of density and strength being a younger wine and also from an excellent vintage worthy of at least 5 -7 more years before I would go at it again. The nose hinted to a deep future, with the palate clamping down and not showing any signs of relenting that night.

The final drops... from this bottle.. of one of the last vintages a Stitzel Weller juice... her twin and older sister sits on the shelf beside her. Is it good? Of course. But is it worth the opportunity cost of whoever many cases of any other bourbon? I don't know. — 9 years ago
Delicious jammy blend. Smooth hints of vanilla and pairs well with smoky bbq flank steak — 5 years ago
These are just starting to loosen up. Whether its the mountain fruit, the vintage, TRBs direction or all 3 with this wine they've taken a number of years to show much. Good with a 2 hr decant and improving for several more years. — 8 years ago
Delamonte is a sister house to Salon. This 07 has little or no Salon grapes as Salon surprisingly did make an 07 vintage champagne. In a difficult Salon vintage, Salon grapes can make it into the Delamonte. Bruised apple cider, green apple, overripe Bosc pear, pineapple rhine, citrus blend(tangerine dominated), butterscotch candy, toffee, citrus blossoms, brioche, bright acidity & wet sandy chalk/minerals and a long, long, long finish. It's 9.1 but seriously pushing 9.2. — 9 years ago
Wow Sancerre style - very small winery - great opportunity to find this here in CA. Tropical nose, honeysuckle, white peach. Amazing minerality. More please... — 9 years ago
Thomas Rivers Brown...great bottle for challenging vintage. Needs lots of air and more time. — 9 years ago
Interesting proprietary blend from Jonata, sister vineyard of Screaming Eagle.. Predominantly Syrah with four Bordeaux varietals, Sangiovese and Viognier. Lots of pepper, rich fruit, timber and asphalt on the nose. Extracted dark fruit and baking spices on the palette. Little resemblance to other central coast wines. Only gripe is the bitterness on the finish -- maybe this will fade in time? Still a solid effort in a great vintage. — 9 years ago
Smooth, light citrus notes. Love it. — 7 years ago
Yamhill Cuvée is named for the county where the Domaine Serene Estates are located. Aged for 14 mos in French oak (43% new), this blend has grapes from Dundee Hills, Eola-Amity Hills, & Yamhill-Carlton AVA's. Ruby, rich fruit aromas of red berries and floral spices, known as “little sister” of the Evenstad Reserve. The palate shows cherry and strawberry with cacso, oak & cola. The wine is well balanced, long finish, smooth tannins, residual fruit with mineral tones. Nice! — 7 years ago

Good wine! Not too sweet, not too dry. Pretty good. Not my favorite wine ever, but a nice, cheap and enjoyable wine! — 9 years ago
Enjoying the fruits of our sister winery.
Dry, but with lots of botrytis. Kind of weird because I expected it to have a bit of RS after just smelling it. Citrus/lime/zest, spice/ginger/saffron, honey, stone fruit/peach/something, saline/chalky/mineral. Thick/glycerol texture, but not really weighty or dense. Actually kind of fresh even with the botrytis because it's got screaming acid. — 9 years ago
