Messy label. Delicious wine. Love this white burg. — 9 years ago
Mr Bize rocks it with this crisp, tart minerally Chard. Apple, lemon and marzipan. So refreshing and a great value — 4 years ago
Pure enjoyment - Starting with the story behind this Syrah living in Burgundy (plus the Domaine Simon Bize connection), and peaking the moment this vibrant beauty leaves the glass. — 6 years ago
Well balanced between red fruits and earth. Cherry on the nose. One of my favorites. — 6 years ago
Tannic like a Beaune red. Earthy and red fruit. — 7 years ago
I heard this 2007 made by the late Patrick Bize tastes like a 15 rear old Meursault. I agree. This has a deeper gold and a slight nuttiness from age and lemon zest, apple skin, a yogurt tang, lees, and a mineral finish. Becky Wasserman sure knows how to find gems in Burgundy. — 8 years ago
Burgundy with pizza night? Why not. This was expressive and forward if not terribly refined, plush and expansive on the palate with bright, tangy red berries and sour cherry, while showing some secondary notes of forest floor and leather. Firm tannic spine keeps the whole thing together. Couldn’t help but polish off the whole bottle to wash down the (perhaps one too many) slices. — 4 years ago
2009 from Schneider’s on 2/14/2020. Opens up well. — 4 years ago
Lovely salty Swiss Alpine white — 5 years ago
Still a baby but very promising, with intense mineral and floral character, chewy texture and superb persistence. — 6 years ago
Buttery, refreshing, slightly sweet — 7 years ago

Vibrant, intriguing, eloquent nectar made of Heida (Savagnin Blanc), idiosyncratic to Valais.
Dense shimmering brass color, golden glitters.
Wet hay, mint, soaked apples, quince, sage, limestone, pinecone. Caramelized peach.
Fat-bodied, zesty palate. Lively acidity supported by tough mineral kick and kumquat peels, unripe cantaloupe, bruised quince, laurel, sage flavors.
Interminable finish...
Unique winexperience!

Pairings... I tried several ones.
First was 'C_Bro favorite': cute little bunny, trapped, skinned, disemboweled and baked in sourcream with allspice, garlic, onion, juniper, carrots and thyme.
Than - moderatetly spicy grilled reindeer sausages.
And finally mature + blue mold cheese plate.
All three played well. — 8 years ago
