Blanc de Blancs Avize Grand Cru Brut Champagne Chardonnay

Oh the purity! This wine has it all - a fine bead, a dazzling hawthorne and acacia aroma tinged with lemon drop that just jumps out of the glass, bracing acidity, flinty depth and a luscious lemon curd finish. Here is vintnervwho is as skillful a vignette as he is a grower. It's beautiful to behold, a classic Blanc de blancs — 10 years ago

Château Cos d'Estournel

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2004

10 year Bordeaux...Bravo. The tannins have settled somewhat with the result being that this wine's structure, acidity, frame and finish are all in alignment. Rich dark fruits, cassis and Christmas cake. Such a joyfully smooth drop. — 11 years ago

Greywacke

Kevin Judd Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

90/100 This region is for me definitely. This is not as hedonistically upfront as the Cloudy Bay, more subtle but presents a better finish. You do however have to reach further for the nose.
Loads of tropical citrus, lime, pineapple, gooseberry, grapefruit as you would expect, though lots more on the palate than in the nose. Excellent mouthfeel, here it wins.
The finish is linear, no drop off and so scores the same as CB but a different experience.

Château Palmer

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

#2006 #ChateauPalmer #Yumm 57% #CabSauvignon 44% #Merlot Juicy Black & Red Fruit, earthy, tobacco, slight touch of Chocolate... Very brooding... I didn't jot down notes because I was too in the moment! I can say that I LOVED every drop! After trying the 1989 the night before, & the 1999 Alter Ego the same night... This one stood its ground. All beautiful 👏👏👏🍷🍷🍷 Chateau Palmer I Love you. ❤️ #Cheers
