Shangri-La Sacred Land 2020 from Xidang, Rongzhong, and Sinong Villages. A decent blend of 95% Cab Sauv. and 5% Cab Franc. A striking punch on the Rustic side with all dark baked cherry. Intense and powerful with bite, bone-dry, earthy and generous on licorice. Similar to Bordeaux from St. Stephè style. — 4 months ago

Lovely minty cabernet nose, powerful, lifted midpalate that somehow had a Sichuan peppercorn character (lightest flash of citrus), and exceptional finish. Not cheap but well worth it & not least if paired with seared yak & matsutake or something with decent weight. Whereas it overpowered the the crispy pork belly. To watch. — 8 months ago

Shangri-La Sacred Heart Sinong Village 2018.
This is a single village wine from the Yunnan region in China. An exceptional blend of 90% Cab Sauv. and 10% Cab Franc. Very aromatic and impressive layers of dark berry, cherry. Nice balance of wood and vainilla notes. Very leathery, chocolate and espresso notes. Long finish and resembles a Bordeaux Style, sort of Pauillac, as it is silky and smooth. — 4 months ago

Shanghai-La ICE WINE Noble Rot, made from Vidal grapes grown at an altitude up to 7,000ft above the sea level in the Yunnan region of Southern of China by the core area of the Three Parallel Rivers, a World Heritage Site. A wine that shows a golden yellow color, year its clear and bright with intense aromas of flowers, tropical fruits, hints of honey, and dried fruits. It is very smooth, and has some weight to full-bodied, a bit lingering and an unique style. — 4 months ago

100% Chardonnay from Di Quin and Jiangpo Villages in the Yunnan Region. An interesting Chardonnay with a bright acidity, forward notes of Kumquats, Mineola peels. A subtle cameralized notes on the mid-range of the palate, moderate intensity with very low oxidation, medium dry with a soft finish. Approachable and resembles some Chards from Macôn Villages in Burgundy, France. — 4 months ago
