They're all pretty special. Nakedness across the board. PN and Syrah may take longer to "appreciate", as they differ substantially from most other CA- wines of named varieties. Go for the cheaper Carignan to begin with! And do let me know what you think!

Thanks for the info. Any particular place to source them or go Winery direct?

@gideonbeinstock will assist you directly from the winery; no problem. You wanna add some PN and Syrah to your first order as well! Just le them age for few years before popping one. Close Saron's wines ages magnificently! (Despite low SO2, etc)

Trimbach

Clos Ste. Hune Alsace Riesling 1975

At first taste- bright, crisp, rambunctious, high-toned citrus. After 20min- rounded and developed, concentrated stone fruits. Very dry, but also rich on the palate. Could go another 20yrs before the youthfulness begins to fade. — 8 years ago

Secret Reserve Maipo Red Blend 2015

I believe I've had this one before. It's 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 15% Syrah, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Carmenère. Excellent blend that I love. Pairing with a bread and cheese board. Happy Friday! — 8 years ago

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

A second tier wine from the esteemed Corliss Estates in Walla Walla this wine was suggested by my wine consultant. She said "forget the funky label this stuff is really good." was she right. It has a medium to full body, firm tannins with hints of black berries, cigar box and dark chocolate. On the 4th of July how can I taste anything but a big American red. Happy 4th to all my American friends from BC. Enjoy 🇺🇸 — 9 years ago
