always love txakolina. this one is super minerally, heavy dose of salt and brine, good bite of lime, and some pear to round it out. this is a really enjoyable, crisp bottle but is one touch too austere (dry + salty) for me. one extra bit of roundness and acid (if that makes any sense) to cut against the salt and this is a total home run but still very enjoyable. — 7 years ago

12' Sea Smoke Streamside Chardonnay. Last time I tried this particular bottle...made a note saying WAIT. It hasn't quite been a year.

Light golden in color(slightly darker then a year ago )Medium-ish body. This acidity has settled down since I had this last year(it needed to) quite nicely. Tropical flavors are still pronounced in the wine. Yellow apple, pear, pineapple, nutmeg & vanilla. Secondary flavors are starting to open up. Would enjoy trying this again in 2/3 years. — 10 years ago

Nutty, high acid, roasted lemon, herbs and strong mineral character. A little oxidized note but not too much, the concentration is really profound in this vintage in all facets this is a powerhouse of a white that should age quite well.
Clean and long finish, bright, crisp and fresh with a lingering crystalline taste of citrus and sea salt.

Lightly colored. Expressive nose that could be described as a mix of lemon juice poured over rocks and sea shells, very mineral and fresh. On the palate it is tight, fresh, salty and mineral with crispy green apple over a vigorous acidity. A real summer wine! Very good+ (89)

My go to rose. Reminds me of my birthday during the spring! Vibrant, joyful and fresh- the nose brings a delicate floral note and strawberries. The palate has lime zest, candied/salt dipped strawberries, ripe raspberries and cherry blossoms. Very balanced and tastes structured for such a young wine. If I was stranded on an island with one wine for the rest of my life this might be it. — 8 years ago
