Nice wine. A bit more powerful of a style. Bottled just a few weeks ago - quite fresh. Finish was a bit thin at first but with some air firmed up and the acid made itself know. Mouth filling with good fruit and acidity, and a bit of earth. — 8 years ago

’04 was a cooler, higher acid vintage with limited botrytis. Nevertheless, this ABTSBERG Beerenauslese was tasting like true AMBROSIA, meaning “the nectar of the gods”. This heavenly Ruwer Riesling is quite drinkable now in a half bottle, but still has years of life left in it. You could pair it with a fruit-based dessert, but really it is dessert all by itself:-) — 10 years ago
