Delicious purity of fruit. Celia welch is the wine maker (same as scarecrow) and this shares many similarities to the 2012 M Etain by scarecrow. Nose of blueberry pie with blackberry liquor on the palate accompanied by sweet tobacco wrapped up in silky smooth tannins. Finish ends with a touch of toasted marshmallow. My hunch is this will be ideal drinking in a couple years when the tannins mellow just a touch. Delicious wine — 9 years ago
Outstanding. Another great wine from Celia Welch of Scarecrow fame. — 8 years ago
The 2nd label of Buccella. Wine maker Celia Welch (Scarecrow) with another beautiful full can. Great balance of dark fruits, tannin, and a lingering finish. Where are my friends to enjoy this with me? — 9 years ago
@Evvia's. Best wine for the night, beating out the 2006 Scarecrow. — 10 years ago
This is for the Clos Vougeot... Elegant, clean, and bright. Red cherry fruit, delicate tannins, perfect balance... A pleasure after the previous bottle we drank (Scarecrow 2011)! — 8 years ago
So this wine beat Harlan, Bond, Colgin, Scarecrow in a blind tasting, scoring in the top bracket with Dalla Valle Maya. Wow! Of all those others, I've only had the pleasure of Colgin. And expert taster though I am not, I also found this comparable to that experience. Speaks classic California Cab to me - nice structure of dark red fruit followed by some cigar/tobacco and finishing with long silky tannins. I volunteer for next blind tasting of this against Screaming Eagle, Harlan, et al.!!! — 9 years ago
Rumored to have used some of the jj Cohn scarecrow estate grapes in 04. This cuvée is the epitome of napa cab. Finish is beautiful with a nice almost chocolate and cedar wood going on. — 9 years ago
Drank at Scarecrow. Smooth finish. Very nice — 10 years ago

I would love to put this wine in a blind tasting of all the Cult Cabernets. I wouldn't be surprised if this beat them all. It certainly would finish in the top three. Yes, this includes; Screaming Eagle, Scarecrow, Harlan etc.. It's so full, round, lush, elegant & perfectly ripe; blackberries, black raspberries, blueberries, plum, dark cherries, dark raspberries. Baking spices done just right, sweet lush rich moist dark earth, dry florals, fresh violets, spice/box, powder from crushed rocks, cocoa powder, suede style leather, a hint of stems, dead on acidity and an elegant round finish that doesn't stop. — 8 years ago
