Showing in good form, this Côte Rôtie is a vibrant and fresh wine that intertwines fruits like kirsch, cherry and blackberry with an iron-tinged, sanguine salinity. The acidity is spot on and keeps things in good balance. On the nose there are notes of garrigue, menthol, blackberry and licorice. Definitely rich, well concentrated full body, but not overpowering. This 25 yr old #chinon cab franc is still absolutely beautiful. Sanguine color, poured out of #coravin so still had a little funk on the nose that quickly reveals wet earth and mushroom tones, plenty of delicate fruit left.
