Yes, Sauvignon Blanc in Burgundy! In fact, the St Bris appellation was previously called 'Sauvignon de Saint-Bris' (before 2003). And you can ONLY use SB or Sauv Gris fruit, + max 12.8% ABV. Love the terroir and plan to show it blind just to mess with my Sancerre obsessed friends. — 11 years ago

How about a Sauvignon Blanc from Burgundy? Drinking this feels like someone throws chalk at your face and then sprays you with sea water, followed by some lemon juice and even a tiny bit of gasoline and motor oil, all being dumped on you and you end up loving the whole thing! Definitely up there with the more interesting bottles I've tried. It's like Chablis and Sancerre had a bastard that turned out great in life. — 10 years ago

Big mineral at first... I know it's weird, but I taste iron... had to check if I bit my lip or something. The finish has numerous complexities, with lots of earthy undertones to a bold wine. — 10 years ago

Balanced acid and tannin composure. Short finish. High cherry with relation to dark fruits. Excellent everyday Malbec and great price for real Cahors. — 12 years ago
