The 2015 ‘Napa Valley’ Cabernet Sauvignon by Corison is a spectacular effort in this warm vintage. Sourced from the Saint Helena AVA, the nose shows wonderful range from coffee grounds to creme de cassis to black olive and crushed mint. Lighter smoky tones round out the compelling aromatics. Once in the mouth, the wine has a wonderful sense of place. The silky mouthfeel provides spectacular balance here. Cassis, anise, black tea, and lighter blubbery compote tones with cigar ash flavors complete this spectacular wine. While it is showing marvelously right now, this will continue to evolve gracefully for decades. Drink 2018-2040- 95 — 6 years ago
A lot of oak, medium alcohol burn. Great with my filet. — 7 years ago
This has aged nicely. Lots of fruit, tart blueberry, blackberry, with good tannins a nice leathery taste/feel. — 8 years ago
This is the Block I cab from St Helena winery. Pretty impressed with how this has held up - still a lot of fruit on the nose, while at the same time acquiring some nice secondary components on both the nose and the palate. My guess is that this one is probably at peak - wouldn't recommend holding onto it for too much longer. — 8 years ago
Wonderful robust Cabernet! Smooth, light tannins. — 9 years ago

What great fruit after 11 years! Rich taste of black fruit, vanilla, sumac and cardamom — 6 years ago
Still a baby. Tasted alongside the 2009 Rafanelli Cab and while both were killer, the Rafanelli seems to have the edge right now. This was still pretty wound up and seemed to have more to show down the road. Cassis, pencil shavings, earth. Tannic. Drink now with some patience or a decant. Will be best after 2025. — 6 years ago
Back in the US so here is my last review from my trip to 🇫🇷. Found on the side of the road at an unassuming low key Chateaux/tasting room close to Saint Emilion no reservations needed - the wines were pretty good - I liked them all but the basic 2014 Cantenac was really well done. 13.5% a ton of acid which already precipitated out. An enjoyable classic Bordeaux. Mostly dark berry flavors well done. — 7 years ago
NV wine from Behrens Family Winery. Love this producer for making some seriously deep and complex wines that have just about anything to complement anything! This wine is massive, and ready to go! Fruit forward but not a jam bomb. Nice chalky and still youthful and expressive blackberry fruit. This one shows complexity from the middle to the finish where a toasted oak and chocolate mocha note kind of kick in. Really good with dinner but huge with dessert. If this isn't my one and only Erna Schein left, it's close! Very nice wine!! — 8 years ago
Finesse, savory, plush, and elegant! Hard to find a better Napa cab at this price point. — 9 years ago
Nice dry(ish) texture, pleasant on the tongue. — 9 years ago
A very enjoyable 9 year old Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from Saint Helena.
Showing red and black fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco, spices, peppercorn and coffee.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.
Doesn't show like a Napa Cabernet. Feels more like a California Merlot. Not what I expected from a Napa Cabernet at this age. Very tasty, though.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Nose is more on the fruit than the spice. Nice aromas of blackberry, black cherry and plum fruit. Hints of graphite, road tar and soy. Ripe lush fruit tannins in palate. Lacks a touch of brightness on mid palate due to vintage. Ready to drink and fantastic with braised lamb shoulder. — 8 years ago
Winemaker Benoit Touquette has a masterpiece on his hands! Thank you David Stevens and Elizabeth Vianello at 750 Wines for introducing us to this dark magenta beauty. Always an interesting blend of fruit from all over the valley, this one has great dark fruit and dry chocolate tastes. The grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon: 75% from Calistoga, Saint Helena, Pritchard Hill, Yountville
Merlot: 6% from Saint Helena
Syrah: 5% from Calistoga
Zinfandel: 5% from Yountville
Petite Sirah: 5% from Saint Helena
Petit Verdot: 2% from Saint Helena
Malbec: 1% from Saint Helena
Cabernet Franc: 1% from Saint Helena. Insane....right? You bet! — 9 years ago
1986 Leoville-Las-Cases
Still mouth watering tannic acid that's deep and brooding that combines with ripe dark cherry richness to create a boysenberry tang. Nose is at once dusty gravel road as it is cooking sweet cherry pie. Perfect balance front to back. Amazing, mature fruit for sure, but still could last a decade!
