Tight nose at the start. Cyndie says petroleum nose. I find it has opened up and I get the more unique burgundy flowers. But wish it had more structure underneath. A bit light there. But a fullness to the body sharia attractive. — 10 years ago
Brought this home from my last trip to Sancerre. It was an amazing wine and perfect match for the local chèvre. — 12 years ago
Beautiful balanced nuanced burgundy with tremendous structure, fruit, acid, beginnings of leather/parchment. — 9 years ago
I was expecting more grip and complexity. It drinks very nicely but it's a bit thin for a Gevrey. — 10 years ago

Full, herbal, ripe and oaky on the nose, obviously still young but more than ready to play. Odors of licorice and Fernet or Chartreuse come through. Thank goodness this has been open since yesterday, it almost certainly needed it. On the palate, bright cassis, wild strawberry and herbal liquor comes through with jasmine and finely structured tannins. Yumyumyum. — 9 years ago
