Bonarda also known as charbono. Just enough age on it at 8yr. Saddleback, cranberry, stewed raspberry. Hint of sassafras. Good acidity. — 5 years ago
A lovely non-oaked Chard!! — 6 years ago
Inaugural vintage/bottling of Sauvignon Blanc from Balletto Vineyards. Tasted this along side the Saddleback Cellars Pinot Blanc. Bright pale yellow. Fresh nose with some white floral notes, lots of peaches, lychees, and literally dances across. Some slightly sweet undertones. Moderate acidity (7/10) and light bodied. Lots of wet grass and tropical notes. Crisp and refreshing. The bright acidity making this perfect for a hot summer day. Long and lingering finish. Great value and excellent QPR! Such a huge fan of this winery. Uncut grass, a clean barn, white flowers, honeysuckle. On the palate, medium-light, brine. Well made. Rustic yet fresh. — 6 years ago

Nils Venge continues to impress me. I'm surprised to see this is the first note on DL!
In the glass, it's a medium cherry red. The nose has plenty of red currant and sweet oak. On the palate, there are definite notes of cranberry and cassis with a hint of wild strawberry. The oak rounds things out in a classic Nils Venge way that I find hard to describe. Soft tannins. Good finish. — 8 years ago

Deep ruby color. Aromas of black currant, black cherry and leather. Flavors of dark fruit and back tea finish.
With a pinch of (9%) Cabernet Sauvignon.
