Great Champagne that Vish brought to celebrate Evan's birthday! — 13 years ago
Tasted blind. Light tawny and translucent. Old wine nose. Notes of soft delicate red fruit, light rhubarb, some mushroom and some sweet cherries. In the mouth it’s missing impact and energy. Acidity is very light. Past it’s prime, although I wonder if this was open too long as the host said it was singing when opened, but then had 6 hrs in the decanter. Guessed mid 60s red burg. — 7 years ago

This may be the single greatest Chardonnay I've had to date. — 11 years ago
I love Meursault and I love LeRoy. Wine is nicely balance with a fleshy roundness grounded by slatey earth. Great with grilled scallops soon to come. — 12 years ago

1999 LeRoy Romanee St. Vivant. Dinner at Ros w K. Decanted over an hour. Youthful, tons of fruit, lots of acid. Excellent. Truly one of the best burgundies we’ve had. — 8 years ago
Pretty as can be. Probably from 2012 release, gorgeous aromatics that developed depth and earthiness throughout evening. Floral, tobacco leaf. Palate was weightless with amazing purity of fruit that richened-up with air and as it warmed. Tasted alongside the 1962 La Romanee. — 10 years ago
