Hits the spot for an approachable, well-made, varietally correct Nebbiolo with personality 👌 Thank you Neal Rosenthal (and Mangus Nilsson too ) — 10 years ago
Fantastic! Served to 62 person Rosenthal wine dinner, the positive response was overwhelming proving people in FL love great balanced wines. — 10 years ago
Very clean and glacial, full and round in the mouth. Picks from Rosenthal tasting. — 10 years ago
Opening salvo in a night of delicious dinner courtesy of Howard Street Wine Merchants and Chef @Paul Kulik , the energy behind Le Bouillon. Our dinner guest was our friend John Paine from Rosenthal. Tonight was an evening of Burgundy, which outside of Chablis and Beaujolais, has always been a challenge for me. This was a delicious opener, if not an outlier. Regardless, a really tasty wine with bright red fruits of notable freshness. Not super complex but unique and always fun to drink Sancerre Rouge. — 6 years ago
Rose’s can be hard to pinpoint but Petite Mairie’s is unmistakenly Loire Cab Franc and that’s precisely what I love about this wine. If you like the stripped down vastly undervalued Loire red wines from greats like Guibertau, Baudry, Thierry Germain, Catherine and Pierre Breton, and so on, you’ll similarly appreciate this wine.
It has that pure herbal vegetal frame - artichoke, asparagus, and sage surrounding wet gravel and light berries. The flavors include fresh tilled soil , green bell pepper, and roasted red pepper. Really terrific from the Rosenthal portfolio. — 7 years ago

Nice Rosenthal import. Bright cherry, tart, cedar. — 9 years ago
Fascinating-comes out of bottle first like tarred duckling, but unfolds into a sleeker, black core fruit beast, w both acidic scaffold of barbera but w a more burnished version if its fruitiness. Aged min 6-8 years, 1/2 of which is in bottle. Still a bit of an oddity & not sure if i love it, but respect its construction. 10% nebbiolo. Rosenthal import

2015 Bought at Liner & Elsen and consumed in Dec 2018. Typical Rosenthal import. Small production, beautifully crafted wine expressive of place. Perfect aperitif or after dinner wine, which is my preference. — 7 years ago
Another star in Rosenthal book but I’m a bit puzzled by the muted enthusiasm on Delectable. Sure, not the last word on complexity but what glory in classic chard & Macon notes. Rich & minerally mouthfeel, balanced. Yeah, for less than 15$ local. So what’s the problem? — 7 years ago

Rosenthal rocking it again. Citrus skin. High elevation (highest in Europe?) prie blanc from vallée de aoste. So cool climate. So crisp. Out of magnum — 10 years ago

Ripping acidity, profoundly complex. Best with a red sauce. Another amazing Rosenthal find. — 6 years ago
