So smooth. Fruit forward, but more bold than sweet! Rich and dark. — 7 years ago
Very famous vineyard and i think chris ringland work on it before. Light ruby rim. Nose of tea lea, caramel. Palate: vanila, blackberry, mineral, stony, very balance and tannin soften and integrated and slight savoury at the end. Cola, liqourish, v complex, herbal hint, soy sauce, bitter sweet, saspiralla and soda — 8 years ago
2012 Napa/Sonoma closeout Chardonnay face-off. If you were going to make a movie theater popcorn flavor of chewing gum, you’d want to drink the William Hill before you started just to make sure you got it right. It’s a Willy Wonka expression of malolactic fermentation. The Iron Horse brings more precision along with more restraint. Focused stone fruit infused with lemongrass and lychee lead the way to a lime and mineral driven finish. — 8 years ago

Very nice chenin blanc. Zippy and bright but also medium body, as it opens up tastes a bit like gruyere cheese and lemon and smells like what the candied daffodils in Willy Wonka I imagine would smell/taste like. Also has a nice touch of a bitter finish. Pairs great with citrus and tahini. — 8 years ago
Very good German wine. A robust red but not too heavy. — 10 years ago

2014 - Brilliant, reflective, dark straw with a copper hue and a thin water white rim. Intensely aromatic, floral dominant, rose blossom, hibiscus, honeysuckle, subtle stone fruit and citrus, apricot, orange peel, and cantaloupe, a fleeting wisp of cigarette smoke. A dry wine but the mouth-filling perfume leaves a perception of sweetness. Medium plus alcohol lends a lingering warmth and viscosity to the palate. Medium plus acid and a touch of bitterness gives balance to the juicy ripe fruit aromas in the mouth. Fruit and floral aromas confirmed in the mouth with an additional hint of marmalade, and spicy ginger — 9 years ago
Always a crowd fave-dry, structured even, a Willy Wonka descent into...pearness. — 10 years ago
