Outstanding. Winner of the weekend. — 9 years ago
Awesome 97 Insignia. The wine of the night and there were plenty others. Sharing this with all on our Monday night dinner group. I would say 100 points because it was. Guys like Rob Parker recently upgraded this to a 100pts. Big rich full and elegant stand out on this 20 yr old wine. Thanks David for giving me this Awesome Beauty. CB — 10 years ago

Fruity. Light. — 12 years ago
Clear garnet purple. Cherry vanilla tea on the nose. Black cherry cobbler, black tea, on the medium-bodied palate. Bright, medium plus acidity. Medium tannins. You want a classic Oregon Pinot Noir? Look no further. This is some of my friend @André Hueston Mack ‘s best hooch. Run, don’t walk, to Willamette. — 9 years ago
Can't say I have had many wines from Yolo County, but I will say that this would be a great example if I were asked to provide an example. Rob Lloyd production (past winemaker for Rombauer) named for the distance from the Winemakers home to the vineyards he's sourcing from. The nose of the wine is pretty enticing - butterscotch candy, caramel, lemon, and dill spice on the nose. The pallet is creamy and slightly buttery, exhibiting notes of baked apples, lemon, pineapple, mango, and a bright finish. It has a good inclusion of acid to make up for the malo. Great chardonnay.. I could drink this more often. It is very reminiscent of Rombauer, but for $20 - if not better. — 9 years ago

Seriously fun. Dare I say 'terroir'? — 10 years ago
Stewed blackberries, black raspberries, earth, anise, baking spices. Excellent acid/minimal smooth velvet tannin balance, juicy slightly silky texture, medium bodied, fruity warm spicy finish. Big fruit with the acid structure to support it. — 11 years ago

Trader Joe’s - $14 - Received as gift from Rob & Jackie. Will rate when I try it. This wine is excellent! Very good Italian wine. Very smooth, light and not too dry. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a dry red Italian wine. I usually favor Cabernet Sauvignon but, this is exceptional. — 9 years ago
Lovely wine, paired very well with lemon, basil, garlic grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and grilled string beans. Cherry, lighter, smooth finish — 9 years ago
