Stinging in its pervasive allure... Believable fruit, romantic texture, ravishing roar of flavor, intent-- — 9 years ago
Recommended by Ray Ericks proprietor Waugh's Aberdeen as having a home fermented style. Goes well with Pacific Ocean view & low roar of the waves. — 10 years ago
Young but what a delicious mouthful, with rich layers of fruit but elegant and smooth — 10 years ago

Dried strawberry (strawberry base for this sour) ... and citrus rind. More exciting than some of the Brussels sours to be had @cantillon — 8 years ago

People describe this wine as soft and elegant. Nothing's further from the truth. This wine is a powerful expression of "new burgundy" -- powerful ripe red fruit, full bodied, and ready to roar. — 11 years ago
2014 Guigal Condrieu La Doriane
Wow. This wine is amazing. I love Viognier and drink a fair amount of domestic Viognier from solid producers like Alban, Roar, Reynvaan, Jeff Cohn, Favia and Herman Story. I love those wines but this is a different animal. This wine redefines the category. Impeccable balance, unbelievable minerality and a finish that lasts 45 seconds. This is a white wine that evolves in the glass in front of you and it is a 2014. I had this alone and then with food, Nicoise salad and it was great with ample acidity. This is a Viognier that is made like a Grand Cru white burgundy. My eyes have been opened to what is possible with this grape. BRAVO — 8 years ago
Big wine with a bit o' burn. (Think the roar of chewbacca) earthen oil, gritty oak, cured tobacco leaf. Tall dark and pretty.

This is actually a rosella. A little less fruity than the Roar. — 10 years ago
Tried 2 different vintages in a row, last night after a long day of clean up from water heater bursting and flood. Sunday night 2012 Roar Chard reminded me of Kistler style of Chard, in fined unfiltered, full body great fruit wonderfully balanced.. Like Kistler sentiment at bottom. Now tonight with trash half way down the street the 2011 Roar Sierra Mar Vineyard is rich as Chards get. Great fruit with nice mouth feel no sentiment , refreshing tropical fruits with just a touch of oak.. Boy is this good!! Having aged this a whole 1 year really gives this rich chard backbone and Grace!! Delicious!! Thank Everyone on Roar Vineyards for this Awesome Chard.. Charlie Beatty WineWorks Marlton — 11 years ago

Whoa- the finish is still lingering! Brick red, and the red roar of such pretty, ferocious fruit. Acid & tannins @ at a good spot- does not feel out of balance. Such a long, long finish. A monster, but felt right time to drink. Short decant like the CVNE — 8 years ago
