We started our afternoon with Owner-Winemaker, Alex Starey touring his vineyard.
Afterwards, we began with his Reserve Chenin which, is produced from 48 year old vines.
The nose reveals; soft wet wool, underripe green melon, green apple with no skin, white peach, gooseberries, pineapple, lime, lemon, light herbaceous notes, very understated minerality & soft chalkiness, white spring flowers. The acidity is excellent. The ripe, lightly polish, elegant finish is right in my wheel house.
Photos of; a pano view atop his hillside vineyard, Alex pouring our wines for tasting, our tour of his property and the company truck.

Interesting Tempranillo, and nice to discover this winery. At Family Winemakers of California Tasting in Del Mar. — 7 years ago
The basic Riesling from this winery. One of the most consistent quality wineries in the Finger Lakes. The tasting room is worth a visit with classic architecture and great views of the lake. The Riesling has a very discernible finger lakes terroir, with some flint to balance the fruit. Dry but not austere. Really very good and great value. — 7 years ago

Lovely Finger Lakes wine. Notes of peach and honey. — 9 years ago
Absolutely what you want from an Aussie Shiraz. Huge fruit right up front and on the long finish - blackberries, currants, cherries, lemon curd. Some nice oaky notes in the middle. A little on the flabby side, but that comes with the territory. Drinkable now with decanting, might be better in a year or so, but not much longer. — 6 years ago
Dense , spicy and fragrant to the nose. — 7 years ago

A pleasant Sauvignon Blanc with tropical flavors of papaya and grapefruit. I would have liked a little more acidity in the finish. — 6 years ago
