Highly perfumed. Reminiscint of a Spice Drawer. Medium to light bodied - more like a Pinot than a Shiraz regarding weight and texture. Savoury salty minerally plums on palate. Anyone who thinks Australia only makes blockbuster Shiraz should try this. Made by Rick Kinzbrunner, better known for his brilliant Chardonnays but this is different and moreish. 2006 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne Romanee Burgundy. Drank w Rick and K at Providence. Beautiful wine that had nice strawberry and cherry notes with some earthier smoke- like noses. Interesting. Great to sip and drink with lighter dishes and before the 1999 Soldera. Really enjoyed this wine all around! — 11 years ago
