Underrated gem — 10 years ago
Not as good as the 98 but still pretty enjoyable showing lots of the qualities of an older mature wine with ripe tanins and mature fruit - good bit of richness for a Pinot — 10 years ago
This excellent Chardonnay is made with organic grapes and aged in stainless steel barrels. — 6 years ago
Monthly WTF group recap. Theme this month was “bring something special”. Normally we taste all of the wines blind, but we decided to do a relaxed night with amazing wines at a great restaurant. Spectacular evening!
This was my contribution. Again, it was paired next to the filtered ‘11 vintage and the colors were incredibly different, with this being hay/straw colored with just a touch of cloudy appearance. If guessing blind, I would have called this Aubert SugarShack (which I love). Medley of lemon cream, marzipan and honeyed sea salt on the nose with a rich and powerful profile on the palate, yet it is nimble...perfectly balanced. Sweet oak, caramel dipped golden delicious apple at the finish. — 7 years ago
Whole Foods; C straw yellow; N Apple, pear, citrus; T same with creamy mouth feel; enjoyed with crab cakes — 8 years ago
Founded in 1982 Robert Talbott Sr., his wife Audrey, and their son Robb, with the planting of the 24-acre Diamond T Estate Vineyard and the construction of the first winery in Carmel Valley. Aromas of crisp fruit with scents of oak and floral. On the palate apple and pear flavors with sweet citrus notes and tangy acidity. Lingering finish ending with a creamy texture — 8 years ago
Nice fruit forward pinot noir! — 9 years ago

My favorite wine 😍😍 — 10 years ago
2003 vintage, a bit muddy right out of the bottle but distinct cherry and dark fruit on the nose and palate. A leading vineyard in Monterey at the cool north end of the Santa Lucia Highlands. <300 cases - 10 barrels in French and US oak. Robb Talbot grower, Tom Stutz winemaker. — 6 years ago
Had this with a nice creamy cheese and fruit/nut crackers (slightly sweet) and it was all delicious. — 7 years ago
Very light and buttery. Loved this one! Great solo or paired. — 7 years ago
Bright sharp cherry with a bit of earth. Nicely lean, not jammy. Hides its 14.8% abv. Could stand with a good Sonoma Coast or richer Willamette Valley. I'd say yes. — 9 years ago
Drank it a tad too early. 2017-2021 recommended window. Even better (in potential) than Susannah's. — 10 years ago
Wine on the Water — 10 years ago

Massive oak, lemon sauce, cream, a bit of toast, hint of honeysuckle. I enjoy this style about once or twice a year. — 6 years ago
