Very good blend of 40% Trousseau, 15% Poulsard, 45% Pinot Noir. Similar to a full red burg Pinot. A little more funk and acidity. Cherry and dried cranberries, light body. Had it 2 nights in a row, with eggplant parm and salad.

A first for me. Right off the bat I was hit with barnyard funk, a fruit driven balsamic note and very chewy/crunchy cranberry. Best enjoyed slightly below cellar temp, this still needs some age or a solid hour in the decanter to express itself. Lots of potpourri, tar, and herbal/mineral traits. I was only able to enjoy a glass of this shortly after it was opened so I’m sure it blossomed after I left and was cooled down. Need to re-visit this unique blend. — 6 years ago

A blend of 40% Poulsard, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Trousseau, the 2022 Rouge Arbois Tradition displays bright red fruits alongside spicy elements. Subtle herbaceous accents add complexity, attributable to the use of approximately 20% stems from the Pinot Noir and Trousseau during fermentation. Toast, strawberry, cherry and hay on the nose. It's rather subtle and delicate. The palate is very well designed, with a strong acid backbone, a nice silky texture with strawberry, a velvety tannin wall before a fruity, silky finish. It's very smooth and juicy, and dangerously easy going. It was served all along dinner but it was showing best when paired with cheese (Saint nectaire fermier was a hit pairing) — 4 years ago
