This CdP tribute (55% Mataro, 40% Shiraz, 5% Grenache) to Pope Clement V is simply lovely, rich, youthful darkfruits and a solid structure that suggests 5-7 years of cellaring is in order, medium-long, lingering finish, very fine GSM blend!!
As an aside, we were lucky enough to make it to singlefile Wines this afternoon and taste the full range being poured, the 2022 Family Reserve Chardonnay (the wine they’re known for) was outstanding, as was their 2022 Frankland River Cabernet Sauvignon, and pricing was VERY reasonable — only problem is that don’t export to the U.S. — Oh well. . . . — 6 months ago
Deep red currant with a nice green peppery finish. Great for 1-2 glasses. A lot for a bottle. — 7 months ago
As Tom Cassagrande said, spot on Burgundy white. Lemon oil, wet stone, slightly closed/reduced and showing a bit more character on day 2, this is what I remember Bougogne balance of the late 90's and early 2000's to taste like. — 2 years ago

Medium gold color. Light tiny bubbles. Notes of green apples, bread yeast, some citrus and citrus pit, and river stones. Modest in the mouth at first but with air this grew up and improved. Maybe a touch past its prime but a good start to the evening… (Bday 1 of 12) — 3 years ago
This was in a good place. Super pristine fruit coming through. — 6 years ago
