Great Shiraz. $20. Rex selection from lush — 12 years ago
Medium bodied with zesty citrus and underripe stone fruit. Crisp, clean, and petrol-y. — 6 years ago
There's value here. Now need to try the Dead Arm. — 8 years ago
Cedar, malt milo, raspberry, yoyo biscuit and fresh Blackcurrant have been the aromas showing tonight. I do know this wine can show beautiful leather, stalky notes and earthy aromas but it simply did not last long enough. Precise fruit, tannin targets the front palate but acid plays a backing role. Great wine. — 9 years ago

This is good. Very easy to drink. Perfect winter wine. Put a fire on and enjoy. — 10 years ago
2005. A house favourite and one of the best expressions of New World Riesling which exists. The late release adds both a great story but the required time to make this superb wine really sing. — 11 years ago
Very deep purple color. On the nose black plum and currant with some spices. On the palate it is full bodied with ripe black berry and pepper flavors. — 12 years ago
So surprised by this Aussie Shiraz. Nicely balanced and has aged really well. — 7 years ago
Excellent typical example of good Aussie Grenache. First impression is 'red Clare Riesling'. Clean with ripe red fruit (strawberry fruit roll-out). White pepper with a little heart. Best with a little chill. #blindtasting #australianwinetasting #yangarra #Grenache — 7 years ago

The garnet/purple '12 Shingleback Shiraz 'Red Knot' offers a rich nose of black cherry, plum and earth aromas with secondary hints of spice, tar, licorice and dark cocoa. The medium-bodied mouth is lively with huge jammy blackberry and anise flavors, with subtle oak and smooth tannins. Vibrant long finish. A lot of wine for the money! — 12 years ago

Seductive nose of blueberry, cassis, cedar, dark roasted coffee bean,, nutmeg, peppery spice, touch of barnyard, and hint of tobacco. Probably the most harmonious palate I’ve had in an Aussie Shiraz. The oak and alcohol are totally integrated, with ample acidity and soft elegant tannins. Powerful and graceful.
What a surprise! — 5 years ago
