Fan for chilling on the sofa. Perfect for fall/winter by the fire — 6 years ago
Always a huge fan of this producer. This was the cleanest bottle I’ve smelled straight from opening. Went from cherries to blackberries over the course of the evening. I decanted it for probably 2 hours and then it sat in the bottle for awhile as we drank the whites. Ended up having it with and after dessert. The wine is in a great place right now. It’s very pure. — 6 years ago
I’m not a big Pinot Noir fan but I’m trying. This is very earthy on the nose but really opens up after a 30 minute decant. Really smooth, really light with notes of dark cherry and cola on the palate. Celebrating that we found our daughter’s fur baby last night after being on the run for 6 days!! — 6 years ago
I truly am not a silver oak Fan but their old stuff has some Kung pow to it. It actually evolved after being opened in the glass for an hour. I prefer it to a new vintage hands down, no questions asked. This actually surprised me and is definitely the WOTN between these two. Truly, truly surprised me. Can’t go wrong for this price point! I found this one for sale for 80 bucks. Winner, winner chicken dinner in my book! — 7 years ago
Black and white pepper, fruit of all ripeness levels, and plenty of oak. Acidity is still there to balance out the wine. Still not a fan of Zinfandel, but this is a well made wine. — 8 years ago
I’m not a big fan of Rose’s so this mix that ends with Rose is much more to my palette. Dry but with enough fruit to make it blush... highly recommend. — 5 years ago
I have never been a huge fan of Chardonnay until I was served a glass of this wine. Even though barrel fermented, it doesn’t have a buttery taste, but rather a more citrus finish, which I like. I will enjoy this wine all year long. — 6 years ago
Red wine fan. Butter. Smooth. Wow! — 6 years ago
I enjoy this red blend more than most and will continue to have a bottle on hand as it makes me happy. Not good enough? See other, longer, reviews if you want adjectives. Alternatively, buy a bottle and try it for yourself and share with a friend at a party. It’s a fan favorite for-a-reason. And that reason doesn’t have the word “berry” or “legs” or “mocha” — 7 years ago
Big fan. Great taste for any occasion or dinner. Want to buy more of this. — 5 years ago
Not a big Pinot fan. I may be changing. — 6 years ago
For someone who has constantly said ‘I’m not a Zinfandel fan’ I like it. Well balanced in the middle, pleasant finish, not too much acidity. — 7 years ago
Beautiful, dark red, perfume fruits. Black currants, blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, boysenberries, lots of blue fruits, expresso, anise, leather, some graphite, sweet dark moist soils, medium intensity volcanic minerals, limestone with blue and dark red floral bouquet.
The body is full. The tannins are round and nicely soften. The structure, length, tension and balance have hit harmony with plenty of life left ahead. Dark currants, blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, boysenberries, loads of blue fruits, expresso roast, anise, dark chocolate, a little caramel, leather, some graphite, leather, dry tobacco, touch of dry herbs, sweet dark moist soils, medium intensity volcanic minerals, limestone and blue and dark red floral bouquet. The acidity is round and beautiful. The finish is long, very well balanced, elegant, polished and lasts minutes.

Narrow and uninspired. A bit syrupy. Not a fan of this vintage. — 5 years ago
