There isn’t a better Cote du Rhone for the price. — 9 months ago
2020 vintage. Everything is great these days at Jaboulet (négoce wines and estate wines alike) and this Côte Rôtie is no exception. "Les Jumelles" (French for " twins" ) is a blend of Côte Blonde and Côte Brune. It is a terrific effort in a vintage that maintained impressive freshness in a very hot year. A beautiful nose with red and black fruits and flowers. It has depth and elegance, refined tannins and great length. Abv.14%. — 2 years ago
Picked this up a few months ago from the state store when I saw Louis Dressner. Seems different from the only other fleurie I’ve had. Lots of earth juice with raspberry. — 3 years ago

Raspberry, ripe strawberry, black cherry and leather. Awesome with barbecue. — 9 years ago
From Chambers birthday 2020 on 10/8/2023. Lovely, dark luxardo cherry, raisin, licorice knows. Muscular straight up structure. Nice continuity between nose and palate. — 7 months ago
A remarkable wine. Still some tannins and acidity, and great red color. — 9 months ago

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Deep ink color with a short purple rim and a beautiful nose.
Full bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity.
Dry and very fruity on the palate, with nice complexity.
Showing blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, cola, raisins, figs, chocolates, dark coffee, cedar, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus and peppercorn.
This 10 year old Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking so beautifully now. Rich and extracted, with a soft mouthfeel. Fruit forward and engaging.
Needs an hour to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Wine Spectator 94 points. Wine Advocate 98 points.
Complex and good by itself. Will pair nicely with a big piece of steak. A gorgeous wine.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
95 points.

Light but powerful. Medium straw color. Complex aromas and flavors of green apple, pear, lemon/lime zest, white flowers, freshly baked bread. A slight mineral note on the oaky (quite noticeable) finish. Medium bodied and creamy texture. Crisp acidity. A bit of tension. — 9 months ago

Dark garnet color. Aromas of earth, tobacco, dried dark cherries/raspberries, menthol, dried rose petals and violets. The palate is more dark fruit driven (black cherry/raspberry/plum) with hints of forest floor and minerals. Touch of Brett and oak on the long and tingly finish. Nicely structured with fine grained tannins. Crisp acidity and medium bodied. The tertiary notes take the lead. Gets better as it opens up. — 5 months ago
