Stood out in a vertical along with 96' still quite youthful overall, nose has wonderful mix of blackcurrant, cassis, sous Bois, smoke, graphite. Deep, rich and giving, this is in a wonderful place at the mo. Powerful, youthful sweet black fruit with spice laden tannins that though are starting to soften show great power and class. 1988 elegant very very elegant, laking power in the middle but so silky. — 11 years ago
Real depth and power in this wine. Less aromatic fireworks than the RSV but still very beautiful. Needs at least a couple if hours or air to get going. A real treat! — 12 years ago
Dry & spicy. Perfect with steak! — 13 years ago
The Montrose group were the most disappointing of this tasting, but it is known that they did not put their best foot forward in 2005, and even somewhat in 2000 as both showed some balance issues that showed more heat and medicinal than power and harmony as one would expect from this storied chateau. — 10 years ago
1994. Hard to believe it's a 1994. I'm sure I've never tasted a better 1994 from Bordeaux. Currant, cassis, some vegetal notes, leather, barnyard. Beautiful with some power. Doesn't taste to me like it is fading at all. — 11 years ago
Such a baby yet, huge aromatics of apricot, lemon zest, stone fruit. Bright crisp acidity balancing a luscious sweetness. Power and finesse in one. Tons of age left. — 11 years ago

Wow! According to Christian the 13 is the greatest Dominus they have ever produced. A wine that they have never tasted anything like it before. So much power, structure with incredible balance and weight. Floral, mineral, graphite with dark plum fruits. — 10 years ago
This 1999 is drinking beautifully now! Incredible delicacy and power. — 11 years ago
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to taste the three La La's from the 1999 vintage side by side last night. La Turque was, by far, the most concentrated and frankly, massive of the three. Impressive aromas of dust, earth, iron, game, spice, damp clay, blood, meat and bone. Sculpted layers of flavor, depth and sheer power continue in the mouth with brooding black fruit, mouth-coating, yet balanced tannins, a compelling animal quality, savory notes, dollops of spice. This wine is an amazing, bordering on spiritual journey. — 12 years ago
