Blend of Syrah (36%), Grenache (21%), Mourvèdre (17%), Tempranillo (14%), Zinfandel (8%) and Carignan (4%). Dark purple color. Aromas of dark berry fruit, lavender and roasted meat. Flavors of jammy boysenberries, black cherry, black raspberry, black licorice and roasted herbs. Slight hint of vanilla on the long and lingering finish. Well balanced acidity. Medium-plus body. Rich and plush but not over the top. Beautifully integrated and perfectly aged. Thanks for sharing, John S! — 3 months ago
This is a rosé blend of 68% Granache, 28% Mourvèdre, 3% Vermentino, and 1% Counoise, that delivers a full tradition of Provence with a fruit sourced from the 9 top Tablas Creek Rhône-styled vineyards in Paso Robles AVA. It provides a bright strawberry fruit, a hint of rose petals and lemongrass notes on the nose.
As for the palate, it gets stimulated with an amazing fresh acidity all combined with some soft spices, mandarin peel, fresh apricot, and unripe berries. The mouthfeel has a subtle peachy tones on the mid-range and grapefruit with some light salinity by the back-end. Joyful wine to welcome summer! — 6 months ago
Reddish in color with medium intensity.
Red fruits on the nose with light wood and chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, cherries, light oak, spices, chocolates, licorice, tobacco leaf, earth, coffee and peppercorn.
Spicy on the long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a really young Rhone style red blend from Paso Robles. Fruit forward with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. Spicy and tangy.
Good right out of the bottle and better with after 90 minutes of airtime. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Well balanced and easy drinking. Good by itself or with food.
A blend of 40% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache, 22% Syrah, 4% Vaccarese, 3% Counoise and 3% Cinsault.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

v21. Very good! Soft saline, crushed grapes and cedar nose. Juicy plum and black fruits. Smooth , long, slightly tannic mocha and oak finish. Nicely balanced. — 3 months ago
Decanted for 90 minutes and could use more. Oaky nose. Intense, fruity dark chocolate. Insane. — 4 months ago
2021 vintage is very smooth. Delicious — 7 months ago
Full bodied, bold , nice nose and easy on the palate. — 8 months ago
Good for a restaurant wine choice when there are no Italian reds. Not overly juicy or in your face typical of the region. Probably due to the nice peppery overlay. Acidity and tannins well balanced to permit mouthwatering enjoyment up front followed by a long relatively soft finish. Priced a bit much. — 3 months ago
- 38% Viognier 32% Grenache Blanc 22% Marsanne 8% Roussanne. Nose has wet hay, marzipan, fresh and fermented pear, wet limestone. Fairly intense but lovely and balanced in the mouth. A bit of unripe pear fruit, grapefruit zest, loads of stony minerality taking over as the finish progresses, with a nice bitter prickle at the end. Very nice acids. I like this a lot. — 4 months ago
I stand that this is the first vintage of J Lohr of Hilltop its still a life of 29 years a well made wine love it — 4 months ago
Deep Ruby color. Dark fruits, woody notes and smooth bold tannins. — 6 months ago
Delicious plum, vanilla, blackberry cobbler, opened up well after long decant…not sure if the rumors are true but it would be odd for Constellation to leave the wine business altogether. I understand you have shareholders to keep happy, but you really see no rebound for this great product?!? — 8 months ago
