Another good, classic, Bordeaux from 2001. Tart blackberries, leather, pencil shavings and nice balance. Med/full body and med-short finish. Tannins surprisingly higher than expected but I believe it's time to drink em up. — 7 years ago

Parker was right great value wine. — 8 years ago
Yes not a bad wine for lunch - actually two bottles. Soft decadent Carmel and melt away milk chocolate. Perfectly balanced and beautiful. Utopia maybe? Pretty darn close to perfection. All we can say is "mmmmm". More please! So I am officially done for the day- hard to go anywhere after this gem! Parker 100 — 8 years ago
The famous '02 100pt Parker and wine spectator wine of the year. Lucky enough to have it twice this month, both from 1.5L. Incredible! — 9 years ago
I prefer my Pinot on the leaner and lighter side, but this is too delicious to snub. Deep, brambly, almost inky, with well integrated acid and alcohol (14.1), concentration and structure. These are things that 15 years ago I would not have said about a Fess Parker pinot noir. A serious, well made wine. — 10 years ago
Full body red. You can smell the barrel in the glass. Goes great with fatty foods, red meats & game. Another fabulous wine from the Douro region of Portugal — 11 years ago
Big, rich, full, tight. Nuances of red spice. An beautifully made wine — 11 years ago
Really not bad, but not my favorite Pinot — 13 years ago
Nice and light, not too sweet, with lovely notes of peaches and apricots, exactly as described on the bottle! — 5 years ago
Beautiful, rich and soft. One of the most supple and gentle Napa Cabs I have tasted.
Robert Parker rated it at 100!! — 8 years ago
Parker 98 point taste off today,
Cult takes it at P&P lets see after a couple hours decant,
The nose on this has caught our attention now, not as full bodied as the cult but still delicious. Can't go wrong either way.
Maybach has taken over as it opens, winner! I think Amoenus is the top 2104 I've had, has lingering layers as it opens up, — 9 years ago
To quote my two friends @Martin G Rivard and @Mike Rowe this is a bad ass wine eliciting smiles all around (and a great way to start 2017). Parker gave this a perfect score and it is a beauty. Decanting is a must at this point. It's been opening up over the last 4 hours and think it will continue to improve if I can sip more slowly lol. Slightly cloudy, and a bright purple in the glass. On the nose, cassis, vanilla and toast dominate. The sips are long and driven by fruit (blue and blackberries and cassis). Liquid silk in the mouth with sweet tannins and a surprisingly strong acidity. The finish is long. This is a total baby but I had to try it. Happy New Year to all my Delectable friends and especially to my fellow Wine Nerd Herd. I've always believed that sharing wine with friends is the greatest gift and this app has enabled me to do that with friends near and far and connect with some great people. May 2017 be a year of great health and happiness and may all our glasses be full! — 9 years ago

Amazing Pinot. — 12 years ago
To celebrate 5,500 reviews on Vivino, here is a beautiful wine from Washington State.
Dark ruby in color with a short brick rim.
Sweet nose of blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, cedar, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with sweet cherries, plums, blueberries, oak, light vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, light vegetables, leather, earth, tobacco, vinaigrette, peppercorn, pencil lead, light bell pepper and dark chocolates.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a great Syrah from Washington State. Showing great complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Elegant, yet rich. Just Beautiful.
This 12 year old is drinking very nicely now and will continue to age nicely in the next decade.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show some tannins.
Wine Enthusiasts 100 points. Robert Parker 97 points.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
Tasty and delicious.
14.4% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

We were all surprised that it drank much like a California Cab. Nose was not at all what you would expect from a 2nd growth. We were all wondering if this was from a “Parker” barrel.
Ito definitely needed 2 hours to open up. I’m. It sure if time will integrate this one.? — 8 years ago
For as much ritz and glamour that is typically associated with Napa Valley, this week highlighted who the real rock stars are in their community... the farmers and firefighters. Haley Wight is the sixth generation to farm her family’s estate, the historic Lewelling Ranch in St. Helena, originally established by her great-great-great grandfather John Lewelling in 1864. She also happens to make extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon. So extraordinary, that I’m going to skip writing a note and just tell you that Robert Parker hits the nail on the head... “The wine displays gorgeous licorice, lead pencil shavings, black currants, loamy soil undertones and a touch of barrique. Dense purple, it has a full-bodied, multi-layered mouthfeel and a stunning finish with good acidity and velvety, well-integrated tannin, alcohol and wood. This is a scrumptious, full-throttle Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 15 or so years. 96 points.” — 8 years ago
Mom's favorite is now one of my favorites! — 10 years ago
This wine was at its peak at a warmer temperature than most. Really pretty tropical notes and hay. Under-ripe mango, kiwi, very direct nose and alcohol comes through (14.5) The palette is all about the malo and new oak, soft, buttery, nice acid, lingering finish. I can't help but believe that this wine lacks soul (or typicity?) but it's damn good. Maybe if this were the benchmark of Santa Barbara County wines? Regardless this is great with spicy Indian. Good job FP. — 10 years ago

1 hour decant (lots of sediment). An amazing dark ruby red color with some bricking. On the nose: nice mellow nose draws you in with sweet black cherry, eucalyptus, little funky earth, wet forest floor, and oak. Taste: silky smooth medium body wine with red berries, cedar, cassis, and a dry pencil lead medium plus finish. Pop one if you got em it will not disappoint! Cheers! — 5 years ago
