Medium translucent ruby in color. Aromas of raspberry, root beer, cinnamon, caramel, and crème brûlée. Concentrated on the palate but with good acidity and flavors of raspberries and licorice leading to a long finish featuring fine grained tannins. Made with only 2% whole clusters then aged 15 months in 44% new French oak. Typical Russian River Valley fruit done up in Kosta Browne style. 14.3% ABV. — 7 years ago

Blend of 44 Merlot, 34 Cab Sauvignon, and the rest Cab Franc. Good wine, but I was expecting more complexity from this single vineyard blend. Nose of currants, chocolate, and spice.
