Panther Island Brewery IPF'NA! Very dark pour. Nose of whiskey barrel and malt. Great weight on the front. Toasted toffee and dark roasted malt front that goes to an increasing bitterness that finished with some heat! 10.1% and 97 IBU. AND DELICIOUS. Wish I could have downed a six pack but I'd be asleep until tomorrow. IP F'N A!!! — 8 years ago
CVed 8/29/17 3 Pinot comp. Nose of darker fruit and forest leaves and slight darker color than panther Creek. Medium body and good finish with hints of minty tar and loamy earth. Became better integrated over two hours in glass. Interesting. Up score to 9.0. JR. $25. Wow, opened 11/22/27 and it’s fine! Actually floral cherry nose, balance and elegance on palate typical of good Oregon Pinot. Impressive. Up to 9.1 — 8 years ago
Real wine. Violets, koi pond, plum bread, dried raspberries in a Sumatran coffee and gunpowder tea bran muffin. Shoe leather in clear polish. Wound up a little tightly as it was just opened, the palate receives a heaping spoonful of coal and banana leaf, with iron pellets. You can see the shadow of the panther in this one! Pure muscle. Cracked pepper, smooth, flat black stones; dried violets, tar, squid ink and flame-touched hemp. Not your typical Zin fare, this one elevates the cultivation to an art form. 80 year old vines strumming archaic, wooden energies into the glass. Remember this is Zin, which is the neon calling card of the wine arcade, then find yourself called to a state of bliss. #zinfomaniacs #zintastic #zincredible #zin #bedrock #bedrockwineco #oldvinesyounglove #oldvine #oldvines #oldvinezin #zinfandel #zinfadel #caliclassic — 9 years ago
Located in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, the ‘Schindler Vineyard’ is a very small site planted to Pinot Noir and set on marine sedimentary soils. A light whiff of salinity runs through the nose with kirsch and peat moss aromas that all meld in the glass. The palate has good freshness and energy with bright reed fruits that dance with shades of blood orange and minerals. The seductive mineral and dark fruit driven finish lingers long on the palate. Enjoy this fantastic new bottling over the next decade or more. Drink 2019-2029- 92

Really nice Pinot. Perfect Thanksgiving Wine. — 7 years ago
Elegant boysenberry with a hint of baking spice and black pepper. Zingy acid and a touch of sweetness. Medium tannin, well integrated, leaving a slightly bitter finish. A stealthy panther of a wine. — 8 years ago
Dear WNH,
What an amazing weekend! Thank you Martin and Christine. A selfless act of kindness and generosity putting this together we cannot thank you enough. What a way to introduce wines, and more so, wine connoisseurs to each other. Upon leaving, Jamie and I were sad not knowing when we will see our new friends again. We wish everyone traveling safe travels and let's keep in touch. Cheers!!! 🍷 Panther — 9 years ago

Nose has sappy, ripe but slightly tart dark cherry, and a beautiful almost Burgundian gravel thing. A wee bit of baking spice. Tannic and youthful in the mouth. This needs a couple of years at least. Very Cotes de Nuits in style. Very nice length and a savory style. Was OK with Thanksgiving turkey, but the turkey accentuated the tannin. This needs beef (prime rib!) to shine. — 7 years ago
Very impressed with this bottling. Perfect for the turkey and yams!
First red for our thanksgiving meal. Light to medium garnet red with bricking. Love the nose with about 30 minutes of air, a bit gamey, smokey, red berries, floral notes and some damp leaves. Light tannins (4/10) and medium acidity (5.5/10). Well balanced with roses, purple flowers, red cherries and some dried herbs. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2020. — 8 years ago
another awesome Willamette Valley Pinot. This is the low price range KW Pinot. Similar in style to Panther Creek Cuvee, smooth. — 9 years ago
It's one of the best vyds in the region and always proven when it's aged... zippy and bloody, raspberry, black tea and mandarin rind. Foxy and fresh, no brett, and the mild oxidation plays well with the very upright nature of this site — 9 years ago
