Primary blackberry compote and cedar flavors. Balanced out at this point in its life. Really good, reminds me of Frank Family Vineyards with more acidity. — 11 years ago

Wonderful expression of refined Zinfandel. Sure, there's plenty of berries, but not jammy. There's plenty of spice, but not heat. There's a robust rosy nose, but with a minerality that Cuts through the floral perfume providing intrigue and bringing it back from being cloying. On the palate, there's a pleasant vanilla tobacco right at the front, with tart and sweet immediately following, like a raspberry sweetart(TM) got mixed with grandpas pipe weed😜.
