STWC. Red fruit aroma with sweet buttery tobacco notes (like Larsen no 32). Taste: cherries! And vanilla. Lovely tannins from front to back. This is a classy balanced fruity tannic wine that lasts. A bit polished for me but I like it a lot. — 6 years ago
Enjoy with Daniele, Virginia and their beautiful family in San Sabastian. — 7 years ago
Beautiful clear & intense coloring of crushed mulberries. Med intensity on the nose of juicy, ripe black fruits along with hints of fresh dirt and bacon fat. Very smooth tannins. I was sad when the bottle was empty. Will purchase much more of this. — 8 years ago

Easy drinking. A little spice on the end, and moderately tannic. Liked it! — 7 years ago
A genuinely great bottle for under $10. New weekend favorite. — 8 years ago
Clear and bright deep ruby, clean pronounced nose curry, raspberries and cranberries, clove and dark chocolate. It's dry with med+ acidity, high fine and sweet tannins the alcohol is high and it's full bodied. Medium+ flavors of dark chocolate raspberries, cranberries and vainilla. It has a slightly dry texture and the finish is medium +. Very good bordering on outstanding a solid wine for the price. You can drink and has potential to age another 10 years, due to its balance between fruit and tannins that give it the stuff for aging. #rioja #artadi — 9 years ago
Peaked after 30 min in decanter, in an hour declined noticeably. Very good at peak though — 6 years ago

Really nice. Balanced, the slightly crunchy tannins mellowed out w some air. Still has plenty of fruit balanced with nice acidity. Well made wine at a great price point. 2011 vintage — 7 years ago
Really awesome (bold and crisp) and a good price point — 8 years ago
Dark fruit, tart tannins, complex. I’d buy a case of this vintage and enjoy with a Cohiba from Havana 🇨🇺 — 8 years ago
Delightful! Perfect with scallops — 9 years ago
A very thick wine, the chocolate flavor started to come out as time went by. Would have gotten a higher point if we had eaten meat. 1050 pesos = 49USD. — 9 years ago

The fruit for this wine was the second selection from the sorting table (third if you count the crows that are known to take their share from this vineyard). Pure black fruits, seeds and all. Fine tannin and decent acid. Turned out to be a wonderful pairing with our paella courtesy of the Hunger Block (Omaha). Definitely a quaffer but has enough of the right things in the right places to keep things interesting. — 6 years ago
