Oscar night...had to pick something from the back of the cellar. Double decant and pour(decent chunky sediment). From the 2000 vintage which was cool with rain and not scored well, but there are probably some overlooked gems and this could be included. A stellar dark ruby red with some browning. On the nose: that aged cab sweet perfume with roasted meat, chocolate, black cherry, forest floor, eucalyptus. Taste: lush mouthfeel with red plum, chocolate coffee, minerals, and a vanilla cedar medium finish. — 6 years ago

First leaf. Fruity but not too sweet. Not much spice. Would pair well with a spicy dish. Would drink again. — 7 years ago

Chocolate and spicy notes with fruits and toast notes. Maybe it's too young. Needs a decantation - an hour at least. — 6 years ago
perfect balance — 6 years ago
Oscar party!! Usually not a fan of merlot, but this blend was quite delicious. Paired well with grilled cheese and short rib sandwiches. — 8 years ago
