Tasted blind. Reddish tawny, translucent and old looking. Awesome nose. Notes of leather saddle, pencil lead, currants, cherry, soil, and some toasted hickory. All guessed 61 Bordeaux. This got better through the night and was at its best in the last glass. — 8 years ago

Excellent glass at Montys of Kathmandu in Dublin, at his wonderful tasting table in his superb cellar. — 6 years ago
This is wonderful. Smooth, rich, deep. — 7 years ago
Note to @Delectable Wine the winery is pronounced “Aranthia” but spelled “Arancia”. A Spanish ringer for Chablis (some people sense Chenin leanings) and a good one at that. Tropical flowers and citrus on the nose, but the palate is energized with lemon, mineral, bright acid, and some stone fruit bitterness. Very light on its feet, but finishes somewhat longer. Crazy good for a BTG selection. — 8 years ago
This wine was a great surprise, great value for the $13.99 price! A little tropical and earthiness on the nose, but on the palate it really came alive - crisp with a bit of effervescence, good acid and retaining the fruit flavor. Great with Indian food or any spicy food or shellfish. — 10 years ago
From a great looking bottle with a mid-shoulder fill and an appropriate plug. Reddish amber color, it looks amazing and smells even better. Exotic perfume with notes of rose petals, tobacco leaf, cola, leather saddle, Cuban cigar and some menthol. Some cranberry and walnut notes develop too. Lots of red fruit. Slow-ox'd it for 4 hours, then gave it 30 min in a decant, then back in the bottle for enjoyment through the evening. This never tired, and showed continual improvement until it was gone. Drinking history. Decided to go side by side... 45 vs 61 vs 89. Tonight the 61 was better than the 45 but not by much. The 89 may eclipse both in 30 years tho. (Bday 10 of 13) — 5 years ago

Nicely balanced with both tangy brightness and crisp saline finish. Lots of ripe citrus and a little round peachiness on the mid palate. — 7 years ago

In full disclosure I have enjoyed few orange wines (think white wines of white of grey grapes that have macerated on their skins like a red wine would in terms of length of skin contact). This however is from squeaky clean Riesling that has spent a month or so on its skins until November and even so is pure and clear, citric and textural, with chirpy tannins, marmalade and apricot pastry. Even the next day it resonated round the whole palate and if anything rocked its back into its orange structure. Delicious and one of a kind. — 10 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Made from 100% Albariño from the O Pucha Estate, An outstanding Albariño. Bright pale lemon with aromas of stone, tropical fruits and elegant floral scents. On the palate flavors off melon, peach and pineapple with honey-like tones. Well structured and balanced, medium+ finish ending with savory mineral tang. Nice! — 4 years ago
