I guess that's precisely the notorious New World butter bomb, only that it's grown into a termonuclear creamy monster over past 11 years. Caramel, roasted almonds, candied apple, a bit of overripe melon — quite majestic nose. Feels a bit too advanced, but still kicking. — 10 years ago
Very good! A rounded examole of Rioja region. Great intensity of aroma, and full body. The presence y of wood is notorious. Fruity (mango) — 6 years ago

Probably the best Riesling Auslese I had so far, outgunning even the notorious JJ Prüm, in my opinion. Only leaving points open for possible surprises in the future. This stuff is amazingly delicious. — 9 years ago
My favorite value cote-rotie producer by far. This is complexity in a glass. Brooding black and red fruit. Deep overripe to rotting raspberries and black cherries. Fresh mint leaves and finely ground black peppercorn with that notorious torched underbrush sense. Cedar and smoked ham notes on the finish. This is a winner for sure. 2010 vintage was blockbuster as well. — 10 years ago

Big California Malbec. Smooth with dark fruit and a nice long finish. Just Yummy. — 5 years ago
2016. Valerie discover this wine at her Von’s. It is our go-to second wine, and many a time, our first wine. Dry and sophisticated for a $15 bottle of wine. — 6 years ago
Drinkable, but completely forgettable. Not much else to say. — 8 years ago

Calon-Segur is notorious for being a producer for the ages. This 2000 is no different. Although, just starting to blossom.
Classic great Bordeaux vintage.
Excellent with the ribcap. 6oz’s of waygu equals an hour plus bit & sip. — 4 years ago
