Big with a rich flavor, hints of berry. A good value and worth drinking. Jungle J. — 10 years ago
A nice dry SB. I am having a hard time picking out individual notes, but I am quite enjoying this while sitting outside on a beautiful spring day. I think this would pair nicely with a chicken Caesar salad or the chicken shawarma from Pita Jungle. Very good stuff! — 11 years ago
Old jungle, jungle tobacco. Deep forest floor, red fruit, indescribable bamboo type green wood, beautiful lengthy acid and something like a coffee/dirt/minerality. Simply insane. LOVE THIS. Drinking the 2006; can't believe this is nearly 10 years old. — 11 years ago

Day 3: Big, black chocolate nose, with baked blackberry, black olives, and charred beef ribs charging from the glass. The floodgates have finally opened, and it was worth the wait! There is fresh cocoa bean pods and a jungle of flora; rosemary and iris extracts and an oatmeal raisin aspect to the perfuming.
Just the right texture for the pungent hothouse welcome: grippy and coarse, with a bitter chocolate and raspberry interplay, and a single unforgettable graphite and smoky slate backbone; unwavering in the churn of black currant, pepper, eucalyptus, leather and tobacco. Léoville Poyferré's high octane new world Malbec that puts a LOT of stick about! It also has an elegance, as all good dominatrixes should! You'll get a kick out of this! #LéovillePoyferré #bordeauxandburgers #argentinawine #Argentina #malbec #malbecmalbec #newworldmeetsoldworld #CuvelierLosAndes #andes #grandmalbec #ucovalley #uco #mendoza — 9 years ago
Drinking with grace. So good. Sweet and bitter first then a sharpness indescribable. Then the perfect finish. Found at jungle jims — 9 years ago
Dry rose, almost neon pink colour with pretty clementine (?) nose. Nice thick mouthfeel with juicy taste of raspberry and oranges that has just the right amount of acidity. Clearly benefitted from a good vintage but comes recommended and is good value. — 10 years ago

This wine had me jump in to a cacao jungle, in this rare jungle I came across a aromatic and pungent herb tobacco. The tobacco acted as a buffer to the oak and caressed the palette like none other. There is a presence of black cherry on the mountain forrest floor where I taste a fallen oak and a land unknown. It looks as though any age has a presence whether young or old on a wine of this magnitude. Awesome job on this one, will be happy to try again years from now. This wine decanted:first; it will transport you to a world unknown; next, it will have your cheeks will pop with anticipation that spirals your tastebuds like a whirlwind; lastly it brings to miss what you have finished... — 10 years ago

So clean and pure. Neon-bright, pristine red fruit. Beneath that, hay and wet pavement. Perfect acidity, to say this wine is easy-drinking would be a massive understatement. Made under the watchful eye of Alsatian guru André Ostertag with biodamically grown grapes. — 11 years ago
White mushroom over humid, steamy, jungle underbrush. Grapefruit and lemon drop aromas. Delicate mousse that heralds a chalky wall of tangy lemon-limestone that trails off monumentally into the distance. Graceful, refined, and charming to its core. — 11 years ago
Last of a case. Great with jungle curry. — 9 years ago
I had this in Chicago 2 years ago and thought it was good, but didn't stand out of all the hoppy beers I was having. Now drinking it on its own, it is one of the best and most unique beers I've ever had. So awesome they can be found in California now.it is literally the perfect balance of a pale ale, wheat beer, and tea. Perfect blend. — 9 years ago
This is so neon-bright in the glass that I could easily have taken it for Beaujolais. The magenta color is practically glowing. But once you take a whiff, we're clearly in Chinon, as you get a big smack of tobacco and funky earth scents. On the palate it combines both personalities. It's oozing with bright, primary fruit but not in that generic natural wine "fresh and juicy" fashion - while it's definitely vibrant (and needs a heavy shake to ditch its CO2), it has a rich, saucy density and the fresh fruit isn't here at the expense of the classic Chinon funk. — 9 years ago

Looks like viscous, golden, motor-oil. Smells like sugar frosted black coffee grounds. Tastes like light - bulb filament and buttercream. Sweet, sweet madeira how I live thee. *hiccup* This special reserve bual reminds me of a jungle cat with a topaz collar. *hiccup* Yeah that'll do.... — 10 years ago
I always get a tinge of anxiety when I taste the new vintage of an old favorite. Thankfully d'Oupia is still delicious. A little more austere and bigger/bolder than a Provence rose, but this one hits all the marks for me, including its on-trend nearly neon pink color. "Drink me"!! — 10 years ago
Extremely impressive and opulent wine - the wine is extremely thick and almost glows with this neon purple hue. On the nose, there is plenty of creamy oak, but the wine maker has preserved some of the stress and menthol notes coming off the high altitude. The mouthfeel is as full bodied as anything, with not detectable heat. Good amounts of layered fruit and a slight touch of minerality moves into HUGE, scructured and long tannins. This wine is single vineyard and impressive. I would argue that it is better than anything Camus, Silver Oak or any of the other big name Napa guys do for the price. — 11 years ago
Herbaceous candy cough syrup! Light and ethereal on her feet, this girl dances in the forest with fairies and carries all of the magical scents of the cold wet jungle and it's wild brambly berry bushes along on her magic wand. Not much of a backbone for standing up to beasts of brawn, this is not made for manly mineral munchers. Pure beauty and a joy to drink...definitely did not last long between the 2 of us. Too delicious. Lots of fun in my mouth and nose. — 11 years ago
