Currently having a love affair with Alsatian and Austrian wines. Beautiful golden color, smells like musky green apple, honeydew, and sunshine. Very acidic, tense, brimming with energy, honey and apple and lime. — 6 years ago
Thanksgiving wine number 1. Sick and tired of waiting for people to show, And a great beverage in the glass while decanting the Cimarossa. Tart lemongrass, medium bodied white wine on the nose and start of the palate. Favorite of the group, as this one might have survived about 15 minutes, forcing me to open up the Hattingley a bit earlier than expected. Good acidity on this wine from start to finish. Sharp and crisp. Really enjoying these. — 7 years ago
Really enjoyed it for what it is... A nice, sweet dessert wine perfect for a late summer evening — 8 years ago
Tropical jam, elderflower, a couple of bubbles. Makes one dance and flail and trip and slip and laugh. This is Cinderella wine - you feel like an elegant princess even though you showed up in a pumpkin and ran around with only one shoe on and you talk to mice. — 8 years ago
Green apple, grapefruit, and stone. Crisp, acidic, and lightly sweet. Good flavor but a hint sour. — 3 years ago
Super tropical fruit. Medium acidity. Little minerality and earthiness. Really close to a 9. — 5 years ago
Fascinating #livermorevalley white blend with a pronounced onion + floral nose, full bodied, citrus, peach palate with plenty of lip-smacking acidity. That nose might be a unique feature of this 2017 vintage; it might scare off some people but I imagine it would be delicious with a Chinese spring onion omelette. — 5 years ago
Perfect everyday white. Aromatic, fruity florals with notes of lychee, white peach, and apple blossom with a Meyer lemon candy twist. — 7 years ago
Got my hands on a ‘14, excited b/c the blend changes each vintage; 79% Chardonnay, 8% Viognier, 5% Grenache Blanc, 5% Marsanne, 2% Muscat, and 1% Roussanne aged in 40% new French oak for 9 mos. Bright straw, aromas of stone & tropical fruits with floral spice. The palate shows flavors of white peach, melon and apple with hints of lemon zest and honeysuckle. The wine is well balanced with integrated oak, crisp, lively acidity and a long finish ending with a mineral edge. — 7 years ago
Lightly fruity, peach, quince, a little yeasty, a little bubbly. Paired well with Moroccan braised chicken and delicious by itself too. — 8 years ago
Goes great with booking shabby indie rock in a tinybroom yourself at 9pm — 9 years ago
Guava on the nose and guava on the palate...gorgeous yellow colour. Apricots and peaches. Lovely dessert wine but im giving a slight edge to the Groot Constantia Grand Constance. — 5 years ago
Loved this so much we bought a case. Great for a hot spring day in California! Dry and crisp, fruity with an acidic finish. Very nice — 6 years ago
Cantaloupe, apple cider, sun flowers. A few years has given it a touch of baked fruit and pistachio. Medium body. Is it odd to have green leaves from plants that are not grape vines on the label? A simple, pretty wine. — 7 years ago
Almond extract and honey on the nose. In the mouth the honey shines with orange marmalade and a hint of bourbon. This dessert wine matched well with cherry clafoutis. — 8 years ago
Raspberries and bright acidity. A great picnic wine. 11%ABV — 8 years ago

Needed a few hours of air. Very tart fruit, pepper, earth, sage, outstanding. Feels young despite 11 years. Still one of the best ca wineries. — 9 months ago
