17.5/20 (93/100) Элегантный аромат с нотами цветов, вишни, малины и намеком на ваниль. Умеренные тельность и кислотность. Довольно интенсивные, замшевые танины. Приятное, комплексное вино. #capewine2018 — 5 years ago

Mouth coating texture, oaky Chenin with mineral finish. Lot s of fruits and needs time to integrate with oak. — 8 years ago
One of my favorite wines I've had in a motel — 9 years ago
Fruit forward with a nice strong balance of acidity. Strong cedar notes round out this gem for the price point! — 3 years ago
Impeccably made, but misses some of the uncompromising qualities of the Burgundian artisans like Montille and Arlaud. — 4 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is the 2017 Mullineux Cape Winemakers Guild ‘The Gris’ Sémillon Old Vines.
Our first time every at the Cape Winemakers Guild Auction and we will make sure to come back! (Tasting was on 9/28/18).
Sixth wine at the Friday Auction Tasting for the Cape Winemakers Guild and fourth still white wine. This is made up of 100% Semillon Gris by Andrea Mullineux from 58 year old vines located in Paardeberg in Swartland. Aged for twelve months on the lees in neutral oak prior to bottling. Only 47 cases produced with 28 being auctioned in 2018.
Light greenish yellow in appearance. Lovely nose with layers of vanilla, white blossoms and some sweet spices. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and medium to medium plus body. Well rounded and rich on the palate with some creaminess and tropical fruits. Long finish. Drink till 2028.
$$$ - Tasted at the Cape Winemakers Auction. Average bid at auction was R5,657.00 ($66.62 a bottle) a case. Highest bid was R6,000.00 ($70.66 a bottle) and lowest bid was R5,000.00 ($58.88 a bottle).

The most open one out of the Single-Terroir-Syrah Range. Huge amount of black olives at first, red cherry, ash and dust on the nose. Nice acidity & good structure with a medium-body. Very, very mineral aftertaste. Still needs time in the cellar to fully open up. Well done @Andrea Mullineux & @Chris Mullineux! — 8 years ago
WOTN in my opinion. It was complex and really food friendly too. Great value would’ve paid 1.5x as much. Acid and minerality was up front then got into the floral and richness after — 4 years ago
Wonderfully in balance. — 5 years ago
I cannot believe how good this is! $20? Are you kidding me? So balanced. Was in great shape even after two days in a decanter. If I can get my hands on some more, I might have to #alternativefact down some of these bottles! — 7 years ago
南アフリカでここまでエレガントなサンソーが出来るとは驚愕。フランスを凌駕する一本。 — 8 years ago
Generous fruit, plums, blackberries and vanilla. With savory spice notes and a well masked but helpful acidity. This wine is like candy but not in a boring way. — 8 years ago
