Cool little mini vertical (2004-2006) from @David L and @Shawn R and all were performing exceptionally. These are always such dependably sultry and delicious wines with an unmistakable chocolate/dark fruit profile. Stuart Sloan sold this winery to the Pan family several years back for almost 50 million and I’m not sure they take visitors from their mailing mist. It could be an extra fun tasting if they bring wines from their other estate—Chateau Bon Pasteur. — 8 years ago

Ripe sour cherry nose, also violet. Medium + body, with again ripe sour cherries - which are, 1 year aged in Slavonial oak results in subtle wooden hints, but fruit shines on the foreground, raspberries mainly, starts with tingling acidity and evenly transform into polished ripe sour cherry aftertaste, balanced. Very good, especially for the price, "mini" Brunello :) — 9 years ago

Txakolina rosé tasting on the 2020 Summer Solstice, perfect for a hot/humid day in the Berkshires. Last bottle from our cellar. — 5 years ago
$26 for a 187ml split. Slightly sweet in the beginning. Dries out quickly. Nice! Had it at Angelo Elia in Fort Lauderdale. — 6 years ago
A mini ‘86 showdown with this against a Talbot. I found both to be extremely similar with a slight edge to the Talbot. This was lighter on the palate with red fruit dominated primary notes and a mix of cherry pipe tobacco, leather, cedar and herbal spice. Drinking nice. — 7 years ago
CVed 1/16/18. A mini vertical of '02-'03-'05 after yesterday's '05. Lightest ruby color of three. Earthy autumn leaves and red brutes on nose. Silky well balanced palate and neon body with good lively texture and complex delicious finish. Better drinking more than the '05. Supposed more feminine and better balance. Wow, opened 2/1/23 and it’s fine! Great with Evan’s Salted Crispy Pork. — 8 years ago
Deep. Semi harsh on the outside, mini bold on the inside of the tongue. Berries all over, very much like this one! — 8 years ago
Loved this mini riesling blend — 9 years ago
Enjoyed this Champagne while sitting in the sun beside a pond in the gardens outside the Louvre. It was perfect for our picnic! Gently effervescent, beautiful to look at, faintest hint of apricot on the nose, lively mouthfeel, crisp acidity, dry minerality, short but pleasant finish. Went very well with sea salt potato chips, subtle and thinly sliced cured meats, herbed pickled green olives, and a mini wheel of chévre! — 10 years ago

From a Ridge mini vertical at a friend’s house. 08, 07, 06. This 06 is by far the most evolved. Nose is sweet with ripe, almost prune-tinged fruit. I hesitate to say prune because it has a bad connotation but this is really good. And at its peak. Lots of sweet, old library notes. Still a lot of tannin, but the flavors are revolved so don’t wait for more tannin to drop. A real pleasure-giver. — 5 years ago
