Very mineral and has the colour and aroma of black currants. Like it a lot. — 9 years ago
Bill and Sandi brought this to share with us before they started their sailing cruise to the Bahamas. Great wine but probably not the best value for the cost. — 11 years ago
Citrusy pear, almondy, deliciously refreshing — 11 years ago
Woodsy and violet bright fruit and currant and dried cherry on the nose l. Classic zing in the center or the palate. Exquisitely smooth and elegant and with a bouncy tannin.. Warm deep finish. — 7 years ago
Founded in 1956 by Michele and Giuseppina Chiarlo. Son of over 7 generations of wine growers, and a leading figure in Piedmont viticultural industry. Aromas of fresh sweet dark berry fruits & minty herb notes. Cherry, plum and minty flavors, some licorice, cola and cacao, well balanced with defined tannins. Complex lingering finish ending with nice earthy notes. Still has years to run. — 8 years ago

2005 vintage. Amazing wine. Well balanced, long finish. Long, complex layers. Wine of the night. — 9 years ago
Classically styled. Tho young, eminently drinkable after a quick decant. — 11 years ago
Sicilian wine from the base of Mount Etna. 95% Nerello Mascalese, 5% Nerello Cappuccio. Soft but chalky, earthy, more low tones, herbaceous but not too much. Medium body, slight rhubarb, but again- not in the way wines can be when they are too young to drink. Really lovely wine. Apparently, the winery is no longer making wine due to lack of interest from the family heirs. — 12 years ago
Had with make-your-own pizza. Enough depth to carry our meal, not too heavy. — 8 years ago

Magnificent super Tuscan. In the same class as Tignanello. Beautiful, ready to drink. Decant it if you can but it's fine to pop and pour, swirl and go! — 7 years ago
