Damn. Memories of date night oh so long ago. Still a mere baby. I've another bottle in storage, perhaps soon. Muscular, still overly (to me) tannic, acidity still high. But still. Can't believe what this costs now. Yikes. — 9 years ago
A Chenin from this terroir and tastes like the land that is. Brought back memories of trip there. — 9 years ago

Smells like cab, drinks like cab and has a unreal long finish. Brings memories of the 60s and 70s. So good. — 10 years ago
We have enjoyed the Good Earth over the past several years visiting Niagara and the Beamsville Bench. A great place for a nice meal, and also home to some seriously tasty Riselings! This Medium Dry from 2009 doesn't disappoint. The initial nose gives hints of what is to come, petrol and fruits! The color is a pale lime yellow and the flavor just keeps going! The sweetness is nicely balanced with sharp acidity to truly reward your mouth! The finish is quite long and brings memories of wine country in the spring! Delightful! — 11 years ago

(Y) Orig $54; paid $37. First enjoyed with LJ & Lisa the day before I deployed to Afghanistan in July 2010. Good memories good wine. — 9 years ago
Beautiful yellow gold colour. Fine mousse. Lots of Chardonnay character. Peach, honey on the nose, refined acidity. Round, creamy body. Complex mouth with honeyed peach and pastry and a long aftertaste. Matured on oak 15months then matured on the lees for 3 years. Happy memories of sipping this on their terrace on the Ave de Champagne in the warm summer sun. — 9 years ago
Smoky peat with a a creamy feel and hot chocolate on the palate (could be because my memories of hot chocolate are that its best with whiskey added 😃) — 9 years ago

Big call, but here's to Kumeu River Maté's Vineyard being one of the best #chardonnay in the world! What a #wine! Bright, tight & focused at 8 years of age, with apple blossoms & cinnamon stick followed up by flinty, gun smoke, sun drenched slate tiles, & the faintest whisper of lemon curd on the nose, carrying me away to memories of my youth. Once upon the palate, it boogies to an electrophoretic humming of liquid energy, bringing life, happiness & joy with it. Sapid, sexy acids whirl about playfully, skipping to an extended denouement, combining its components into one, luxuriously wondrous whole. Love it so! — 9 years ago

Alas I could not open it...just so few left in the world. Gave it 9.5 on looks and memories of days tasting it in the past. Probably should at erase it...sorry to be a tease. — 10 years ago
