Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope everyone is having a beautiful day with family and friends? I am very thankful for each and every one of you and sharing fine wine together.

Today I have opened the 2012 Daou Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy with my family. I do want to not that this was in the magnum format.

On the nose there is blackberry, black cherry, black currant, black pepper and nice soil notes.

The palate leads to fruit forward beautiful black fruit, black cherry, blackberry, black currant, sweet oak, sweet tobacco, roses and wet farm soil.

This wine has full bodied full mouth feel with a nice bright medium + acidity and smooth medium tannins. The finish one that is long and very pleasing.

Please have a wonderful rest of your day and be thankful for the gifts we receive every day.

Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🖒

Deep ruby color. Medium + aromas of dark cherries, vanilla, mint, sage, leather, and eucalyptus. Medium acidity, medium + tannins. Complex flavors of toasted oak, vanilla, cassis, and ripe black cherries. Young tannins, but nicely balanced with potential to age gracefully. A long finish.

The reserve is the best paso cab I've had. Big fruit, perfectly balanced and delicious.

Going through an oaky stage right now, but there was some chocolate covered cherry action going on as well. High toned acidity keeps things in focus.

A plummy nose, with a blackberry, crushed stone and chocolate finish. Medium-bodied with a smooth, velvety finish, albeit a bit short. Great QPR.
